Summer is leaving in a few days. Autumn is beginning to show in birches and cedars. The poplars this year look stunted--we had a late frost, after they'd begun to bud, so perhaps they're still reeling.

Every year is the same AND different. Every DAY is the same, but different. At this time of year, we watch the sunrise glide ever-southward along the Sibley Peninsula.
The sameness is reassuring. The differences make life interesting.
We're not releasing a new book this year. AND our backlist continues to offer entertainment, insight, and thoughtful writing for the shorter days and longer nights to come.
