Where to Find Our Books

The brave people at Entershine Bookshop -- an independent bookseller, a storefront, carrying actual books! -- in Thunder Bay opened their doors during the pandemic! We're proud that they're carrying both THE ITERATIONS OF CAROLINE and SILENCES: A NOVEL OF THE 1918 FINNISH CIVIL WAR. Their physical store is 196 Algoma Street South, in the Bay-Algoma district.

Copies of both books are also at our local storefront of the country's chain bookstore. And you can always order them online, through this link at Entershine's website or here directly.

News and Awards

We've been quiet here for, oh, a year or so. We've been evaluating priorities and projects. But we're tiptoeing back into the world of publishing--making stories available to readers.

And we're delighted to start with wonderful news.

Roy Blomstrom, author of SILENCES: A NOVEL OF THE 1918 FINNISH CIVIL WAR and THE ITERATIONS OF CAROLINE, recently received the Kouhi Award from the Northwestern Ontario Writer’s Workshop, a regional organization that supports writing and writers.

The award, established in 1999, recognizes the contributions of a writer to the literature of Northwestern Ontario. Candidates are evaluated on the breadth and depth of their work.

In Roy's case, his work has received Ontario Arts Council grants; won many contests and been shortlisted for others; and been produced in Thunder Bay, Finland, and the Brighton (UK) Fringe Festival.

Roy was thrilled to receive this award, which was named for Thunder Bay poet and teacher Elizabeth "Betty" Kouhi. His teaching career at Thunder Bay's Churchill High School overlapped with hers for one year, and he greatly respected "her dedication and skill in making poetry and prose come alive for her students."

Congratulations to Roy! And stay tuned for news about book availability and even a new release--or two?
